Remittances are simply money transfers sent to family or friends in another country.
🚀 How to send money
Open your Común app.
Select Send a remittance or go to Move Money and choose International.
Select the destination country and choose or add a new recipient.
Select the transfer method:
🏦 Bank transfer
💵 Cash pickup
Enter the amount and review the cost.
Select your payment method — you can pay using your Común balance or a connected external debit card.

Confirm your transfer. ✅
⏱️ Money can arrive within minutes. For cash pickup transfers, funds are usually available about 30 minutes after the transfer is completed.
💰 Fees explained
There are two types of fees:
1. Fixed fee
$2.99 USD per transfer
2. Variable fee (only for certain countries)
Applies only to:
Panama, El Salvador, Ecuador, Honduras
1% → bank transfers
1.5% → cash pickup
💡 Example:
Send $200 → Total = $202.99 (if no variable fee applies)
🌍 Can I send remittances while I’m outside the United States?
Yes, you can send remittances with your Común account even if you’re traveling or visiting your home country outside the United States.
As long as you have access to your account and can log in to the app, you’ll still be able to send money normally.
