What cards can I add to my Común account?
You can add up to 2 debit cards during the first 60 days of using your account, as long as they meet these requirements:
They are valid debit cards (not expired)
Issued in the United States 🇺🇸
Under your name (same name as your Común account)
Able to send and receive money
👉 We do not accept credit cards, prepaid cards, or other types of cards.
Why is my card being rejected?
Here are the most common reasons and how to fix them 👇
You reached the card limit
You’ve already added the maximum number of cards allowed. The name doesn’t match your account
Make sure you enter your name exactly as it appears on your Común account (including middle names and accents).ZIP code doesn’t match
Double-check that the ZIP code matches what your bank has on file. If it changed, update it with your bank before trying again.Your card is expired
Use a valid (non-expired) card.Your card can’t send or receive money
Make sure you’re using a debit card that allows both sending and receiving funds.Your card is a credit or postpaid card
We only accept personal debit cards.Your card is already registered
Check if you already have an account with that card. If you didn’t add it, contact us right away so we can review it.Your bank doesn’t support this service
Try a different bank card or contact your card issuer.Your card was not issued in the U.S.
Only U.S.-issued debit cards are accepted.
Why do I need to verify my card?
When you add a new external debit card to use Pay or send remittances, we’ll ask you to verify that you’re the card owner.
This helps keep your account secure and protect your money. 🔒
