Can I cancel my remittance?

Discover how to cancel an international transfer or remittance

The time frame for canceling an international remittance depends on the delivery method you selected:

Bank Transfer

You can cancel the remittance only while its status is Created or In Progress. Once the transfer has been received by the recipient bank and shows as Completed in the app, it can no longer be canceled.

Cash Pickup

You can cancel the remittance as long as your recipient has not yet collected the funds.

😎 How do I cancel a remittance?

  1. Open your Común app.

  2. On the home screen, select the remittance you want to cancel.

  3. Tap Cancel and confirm your request.

That's it! Once the cancellation is processed, the funds will be returned to your Común account.

😖 What happens to my money when I cancel a remittance?

Once the cancellation is completed, the funds will be credited back to your Común account within 24 to 48 business hours.

In some cases, the cancellation may remain pending for a short period while it is being processed. If this happens, we'll notify you by email and through the app once the cancellation has been completed.
