Yes! Just like in Zelle, where you could connect any debit card, you can also do that with Común.
This means that if you want to send or receive money from someone who uses Zelle through their bank, they just need to add their debit card to Común — and you’ll be able to send or receive money from them using Pay.
Does the person I want to send money to need to stop using Zelle?
Not at all! They can keep using their debit card with Zelle through their bank, and at the same time connect that same card to Común so you can send or receive money from them. There’s no need to switch cards or get a new one.
How do I do it?
Open your Común app.
Go to the “Pay” section.
If you want to receive money, tap Send payment link and share it with the person who will send you the money.
If you want to send money, select a contact from your phone, enter the amount and note, and send the link.
The other person just needs to open the link, add their debit card, and that’s it! In less than 2 minutes, they can connect their card and start sending or receiving money with you.
