Can I change the account holder or transfer my account to someone else?

We understand this question can come up for different reasons.

If you need to update your own information (such as correcting your name, adding a missing last name, or updating your personal details), please see the guide "How do I update my Común account information?"

If you're asking to change the account holder, transfer the account to someone else, or add another account holder, this isn't possible.

Común accounts are personal and can only belong to the person who opened them. For security and regulatory reasons, account ownership cannot be transferred to another person.

If someone else would like to use Común, they can open their own account using their own information. Opening a Común account is free: we don't charge an account opening fee, there is no minimum balance requirement, and there is no annual fee.
