What alternatives do I have now that Zelle is no longer available on Común?

As of March 31, 2025, Zelle is no longer available for Común users due to a decision made by Zelle that is outside of Común’s control. However, there are still several reliable and easy ways to send and receive money. Below are the alternatives available to you.

Alternatives to Zelle

1. Pay

Pay is Común’s own money transfer feature that allows you to send money instantly and with no hidden fees — all directly within the Común app, without needing another application.

It’s a fast and simple alternative to the services previously offered through Zelle.

2. Connect with other platforms

Through the Común app, you can connect your accounts from:

  • PayPal

  • Venmo

  • Cash App

These platforms allow you to keep managing your transfers in one place and continue receiving payments, including your paycheck if you previously received it through Zelle.

How to transition from Zelle

If you previously used Zelle for transfers, follow these steps to start using the available alternatives:

Use Pay

Open the Común app and go to the Pay section to start sending and receiving money.

Connect external accounts

Link your external debit cards or payment platforms directly in the app.

Invite your contacts

If your friends or family also used Zelle, invite them to join Común so they can take advantage of Pay.

You can also share your payment link to receive money from people who do not use Común.

Additional information

For more details about Zelle’s decision, you can visit their official website or FAQ section.

With these alternatives, you can continue sending and receiving money easily and without interruptions.
