If you accidentally sent a Pay payment to the wrong person, we understand how frustrating that can be.
Can Común cancel or reverse the payment?
No. Once a Pay payment has been authorized and sent, it cannot be canceled or reversed by Común.
Because you authorized the payment, the funds are transferred immediately to the recipient.
What can I do now?
Your best option is to contact the recipient and ask them to send the money back.
You can also send them a payment request through Pay for the amount sent by mistake. Please note that the recipient must approve the request before the funds can be returned.
Unfortunately, if the recipient decides not to return the money, Común is unable to recover the payment.
How can I avoid sending money to the wrong person?
Before sending a Pay payment, we recommend:
Carefully review the recipient's username before confirming the payment.
Confirm the recipient's payment information with them before sending money.
Double-check the amount before tapping Send.
Taking a few extra moments to verify the payment details can help prevent mistakes.
